We are extremely disappointed to announce that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to postpone our annual You Follow Me event. We were so excited about planning our first golf scramble which was originally scheduled for August 14, 2020.
We are concerned that large gatherings will still be prohibited at that time. We also are considering our amazing vendor donors who have been so generous with their donations of gift items for our raffles and silent auctions. Many of them have suffered extreme financial loss during this very difficult time. We ask that all of you who have attended our past events and/or supported our fundraising efforts will patronize these great local businesses.
During this pandemic Dr. Douglas Scharre continues with his research on Lewy Body dementia and Alzheimer’s. This crisis had accelerated the difficulties that patients and caregivers face. We, along with Dr. Scharre and his research staff, hope that very effective treatments and a cure will soon be found. We know this virus has had a pronounced financial impact on everyone, but we ask that, if at all possible, you will make a donation to The Barry A. Pfaff Lewy Body Dementia Research fund. You can access our giving page on our website at . Your donation is 100% tax deductible and you will receive letter of acknowledgement from Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
We are canceling this year’s event, but we hope to reschedule for next summer. Those of you who have already purchased tickets will receive a refund. Thank you to all of our friends, family and donors for your past support. We hope you all stay healthy during this time of social distancing. Ohio is truly “together apart”.
We will provide updates on our event plans for next year along with research progress on all of our social media. Please check in with us often. Thank you for your continued support.
